The PTE Core date is the time when you officially take your PTE Core test. This exam is designed for anyone who plans to immigrate to Canada. Its score is one of the important entrance requirements for residence there.

Follow these steps to check the upcoming exam date in your nearest center:

  1. Visit the Pearson PTE official website
  2. Click “Check Availability & Book.”  You will be redirected to a new tab called “Find an appointment.”
  3. Search for your location by typing it in the search bar. Then, choose “Search.” If you desire a more specific search, select “Advanced.” This option requires you to provide information about the distance, time, etc.

Afterward, a list of test locations and available dates will be shown on the screen. Scroll down the menu and choose the most convenient option.

You can register for an account on the website to access updated information about your testing date. Once you’ve done so, the latest news will be sent to your email.

How To Check Your PTE Core Date After Booking?

There are 2 ways to check your booked PTE Core date: logging into your myPTE account or checking the confirmation email.

Method 1: Log in to your myPTE account on the Pearson PTE Core website. Then, go to the test details section, click on it, and check your registered test date.

If you cannot open your account because you forgot your password or have other issues, contact the PTE help center via this online form.

Method 2: Check your mail. Once you successfully book the test, Pearson will send you a confirmation email. It will include the test details, such as the test center and time.

All you need to do is find that email in your mailbox to check the date and time.

How To Change Your PTE Core Exam Date?

The good news is that you can reschedule your PTE Core exam date without paying additional charges. However, you can only do so at least 14 days before the test.

If the time is fewer than 14 days, you can’t reschedule. Canceling is the only option, but it might come with an extra fee. Besides, the maximum number of times you can reschedule your test date is 6.

To change the date, you must log into your myPTE account and follow the guidelines on the account dashboard.

The “reschedule” button will not appear if you change it fewer than 14 days before the test or more than 6 times.

What Should You Do Before Finalizing Your PTE Core Exam Date?

Before finalizing your PTE Core date, you must double-check the information to ensure everything goes according to your plan. If not, you must reschedule or cancel the date.

Besides, there are some notes about the test date that you should know:

  • If there is still an open seat, you can book a PTE Core test at least 24 hours before the official date.
  • Suppose you book the PTE Core date within 48 hours before the exam. You must pay an additional fee for this late appointment.
  • The minimum time for retaking the PTE Core test is five days from the one you’ve taken.
